Our Mission
To nourish your dog and cat according to their genetic evolution, mirroring their natural diet in the wild by supplying regional meats, poultry, fish, fruit, and vegetables that have been sustainably farmed by local suppliers and delivered to our kitchens in their freshest, preservative-free and most natural form.
Our Story
The story of WildPrey is one that starts with Talos our male bouvier. Being caring dog owners we bought a well- known brand of expensive kibble when Talos was still a puppy. A year or so later, large wet eczema developed on his neck. As recommended, we changed to an even more expensive kibble, believing that this would solve the eczema – it did not. We also agreed that cortisone would not be the appropriate solution.
We embarked on a journey to look for an alternative solution, one that would ring true to us. Eventually we came across articles on Raw Feeding principles with recipes of what to include to make up a balanced mix.
Home mixing in our tiny kitchen began; this is not for the faint hearted. Finding good muscle meat and organ meat at an affordable price was not always easy. The wet eczema disappeared within a noticeably short time which motivated us to continue. However, it was not always practical for us to make the raw food and have it ready for every meal. Occasionally then we would have to revert back to kibble. When this happened, the wet eczema would always appear again.
We needed a solution to ensure that the raw food could be produced safely and always be readily available for Talos. Our solutions lay in the belief that we may not be the only pet owners who could benefit such a product. In January 2020 Wild Prey was launched. A year and half later we are producing over 1,7 tons of raw dog and cat with the capacity to produce more.
